here is my story


I have struggled with my weight all my life. I had a mindset that I was just doomed to always be overweight and there was really no hope. I had tried starving myself, taking metabolism pills which worked for the time being. Unfortunately, the weight came back in a double dose. After I had children and gained more weight, I tried exercising more. I also tried cutting my portions, but that didn't work at all because I loved eating. I was really at a point in my life where I was in total denial about my health. I didn't think I was very fat, even though I was actually obese. Then a friend, my sister, and my mom had success losing weight with 'take Shape for Life? and I started to see how overweight I really was. My mom now keeps saying she is 'the perfect example that TSFL is the best program out there.? She is doing things outside in her garden that she hasn't been able to do in years. She says she has 'tons of energy.? Unlike my mom who was successfully losing weight and getting healthier, I felt sluggish and fat all the time. I wanted my energy back. I wanted to feel good and confident about myself. After watching my sister and mom using the program, I realized that it's not about dieting. It is about taking your weight off and learning habits of health that will help to keep that excess weight off. I love the fact that I have a free health coach who is available to support me. She encourages me each step of the way with a 5 minute phone call each week. In the process, my bad eating habits are being turned into healthy habits. Robert Puller says that Good habits once established are just as hard to break as bad habits.? I'm finding that to be true. There are so many things that I like about losing weight using this eating plan. One of the best was how fast I saw the weight coming off! I lost 76 lbs in 7 months and love maintaining. This varies greatly with each person. (Results will vary. Typical results on the Medifast 5&1 program are up to 2-5 lbs per week.) I can still eat at restaurants. I love clothes shopping for smaller sizes at Goodwill. I feel confident about myself again. I don't feel sluggish anymore. I have more energy. As a kid I was always short of breath and hated running. Now, because I've lost weight and am getting healthier doing it I've started running am gaining stamina every time I do it. Probably the best part is my husband's comments about how amazed he is by my improved outlook on life and how he's noticed that my self-confidence has drastically changed.
